Won't connect

Different versions

For some reason Multiplicity now won't connect between computers. It happened after a Windows 10 Pro update as we have extended updates. It now says there are twodifferent versions. One, the master computer, is 4.07 Pro. The other secondary computer is 4.07 and says there are no software updates. I can't put the Pro version on the other computer as it says I need a new license. I've never needed a license for each computer. What the hell is going on?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, from what I know, you don't need a license for your secondary computer. You just need one on the primary.

OK but it does not answer why the two computers won't connect and the primary computer is saying the two software versions do not match.

Please try, uninstall Multiplicity on both system, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still appear. We need more information on both system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And its full version and OS Build number on each system.
  2. Multiplicity full version number installed.

For connection issue please refer to this thread: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1287946260/Multiplicity+Connection+issues+101
