software wont open

• Are you using an ARM‑based CPU system?

• Do you see any error popups during installation?

• Which version of DeskScapes are you trying to open?

• Have you tried re‑downloading the installer to see if that resolves it?

Once we have this information, we’ll be in a better position to identify the cause and get things working for you.

EVERYTHING ELSE in object destop works except deskscapes 11 it was working, even running, went to change the desktop and it would NOT open  just deskscape 11 all the other software installed opens and runs. uninstalled deskscape 11 PUREGED IT AND REBOOTED reinstalled it and it still will not open. tried this twice with purging and rebooting the system. had ZERO POPUPS or issues during installation, the version of deskscapes i down loaded was from a link on stardocks website on 04/18/2026. windows and all my drivers are as of today all up to date.

I am having the same problem. The only thing that loads is my deskscape wallpapers I previously downloaded.  This seems to be another eror like a couple of months ago. Why bother if it doesn't work when I want to change my wall ppaer.

Running Windows 11  64 bit with  64 gb ram AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX  plenty of sotrage and 2gb graphics card

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure on your issue, few questions.

1. Need to know Windows 10/11 full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe
2. Need to know Deskscape full version number installed.
3. What error popup when you try to download new wallpapers?
4. Sometimes the will be some issue getting to wallpapers do to server issue, from what I know, Wincustomize.com is getting some work done. And those wallpapers that appear on Deskscape come from Wincustomize.com.

It has been happening more often lately that Deskscapes is down. Is there a network problem.

As I mentioned above, Wincustomize.com, the platform where all DeskScapes wallpapers and dreams are uploaded and stored, is currently undergoing a site overhaul. During this process, some downtime or access issues may occur. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while these improvements are being made.

So I assume, it work while in the Sandbox. Next do the Cleanboot steps, refer here for guide: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1346928700/DeskScapes+Clean+Boot. Try it and report back.

Kust noticed your reply, after i had reinstalled it, well i guess the 5th time installing it worked, not sure what happed or why it just stopped working. BTW, the only thing i did different was remove all the backgrounds before the latest install, i had avoided doing it because of all the saved backgrounds and having to find and reinstall them. But it is working again so now i'm searching for my favorites ...

During this process, some downtime or access issues may occur), Would notify of maintenance or down issues so people like @e_dragon and I would not have to rack our brains and install and reinstall, etc., etc.!
