Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more details on your issue.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get this information.
  2. Groupy full version number.
  3. Copy and paste your saved OneNote Groupy group.

Thank you,

Hi MartinJJ,

I've been unable to reproduce this with testing Win11 25H2 (26200.8037) and Win10.

To be clear: You're grouping 4 instances of OneNote in a single group, saving that group, then closing it and reopening to find only 2 of the 4 instances reopen?

Whenever I do this, Groupy is able to open all 4 (or 5, etc) of the OneNote instances all together in the same Saved Group. It may take a moment, but they do open grouped together.

Please confirm if this is what you are describing ("Pages" or "Sections" from OneNote, for example, would be a separate function of OneNote itself).

If possible, a video could also be uploaded to a file sharing service of your choice and linked here to clarify your exact process.  If this can be done, I will be happy to try again to see if I can isolate any other differences.

Thanks and best regards,

Hello Adam,

I cannot share a video because of confidentiality issues, but can conform my problem:

- I create a group of  4 different OneNote pages
- Set the  'Pin Groupy Tabs' on it
- Save the group as 'OneNoteTest of 4'

- Run it Either from the Windows Start  or from the groupy2 'grouping Rules' -> saved groups page
- When i already have  1 OneNote open => it adds  2 OneNote pages, both from the last OneNote page opened

- When No OneNote is running yet, it creates a OneNote sessions with 2 OneNote pages, both from the last OneNote page opened

So:

-  Only  2  instead of 4 pages are opened.

- The pages are not the ones saved, but just more of the past page openened.
The   'OneNoteTest of 4.groupy'   files shows only the start of ...\ONENOTE.EXE   - no
No   option to open a specific page which is possible like:  /hyperlink "onenote:<OneNote page specification>"

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\ONENOTE.EXE" /hyperlink "onenote:<OneNote page specification>"

I would like to use  groupy to specifically  start a session with the different pages in place to save work and time at startup.

Regards, Martin
