Cannot find Special folder path Error message 80070003

I get the following error

 

Lost a hard drive now I get 

Cannot find Special folder path Error message 80070003
The system cannot find the path specified

followed by

Could not create your Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova user data folder 

I tried a fresh install but obvious not deleting everything

Have you properly fixed your Windows installation following your Hard Drive failure ? Something like this can help.

 

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealt and press Enter
  • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter
