Cant Load Save Games

I am now getting error messages every time i try to load a saved game.   

I started a new game Sunday 2/1/2026 played for 9 hours of game time and saved often (auto, manual, and quick).

when i went to load game on monday 2/2 it gave me a bunch of errors, cant read save file, asset isses, etc.

one is: Alert @ binary_stream_reader(45) : error reading (C:\user\....._save)

if i skip that it give me: Alert @ Resource_ptr: attempting to get empty resource...

next is Alert @entity_deffinition_factory, engine.

and on and on until it kicks me out of the game and does crash report.

I validated files, restarted a brand new game and saved 1 hour in and now again tonight it wont read either save game set.

What is going on???

yeah I am getting the same. Started a game on Sunday, saved it. When I tried to play on Monday, it would not load. It appears there was an update, which means older saves will not work. I started a new game on Monday and saved/loaded successfully. Went to play today. It seems another update was released, and the save game from yesterday will not load.

Are we supposed to finish games in one sitting? This does not make sense

Hey, there was indeed an update on 2nd February. If you have unfinished games, you can continue those, by using the older game version.
This can be selected in steam game settings
