Multiple Win 11 Desktops

I"m using Fences 6 and Windows 11.  When I create a new Window's Desktop, Fences automatically populates it with all the fences that I have on my Desktop 1.  If I delete a Fence on Desktop 2, it also deletes the Fence on Desktop 1. Can I not just creat a blank Desktop with on Fences.  Any icons or files that I have on Desktop 1 (outside of a fence) are also duplicated on Desktop 2 and any additional Desktops that I create using Win 11.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I understand, Fences don't work like that. As a desktop organizer. Desktop icons do appear on any Windows desktop. So if you disable Fences and add a virtual desktop, your desktop icons do still appear on that Desktop. Fences work similarly. The Fences your created will also appear on those other Windows desktop.

Perhaps you can try Fences pages, instead. You can have different Fences page with different Fences layout in it

Hi johnangevine, correct, as basj shares this is how it works today. Like with Windows itself, all desktops have the same icons.

We've considered evaluating a feature wherein you could link virtual desktops to different "pages", such as that if you change which "page" you're viewing while on a given desktop, it would remember that. Otherwise, there's not much of a way to move icons or groups from virtual desktop to virtual desktop, if each virtual desktop were to be a complete blank-slate.

Wondering both

(1) Your thoughts about the proposed solution

(2) Other ideas on how you would expect this to work?
