I want to evaluate Connection Explorer, but independent of what I am doing, I always get to BUY option instead of a TRIAL.
I have had a trial in 2016 and I still see the license information in "License Info".
How can I replace that with a NEW trial?

I don't think Stardock had a Connection Explorer in 2016. You can get the trial here: https://www.stardock.com/products/connectionexplorer/
You can be certain the software didn't exist in 2016.
It was first announced on November 12, 2025, so akr2 you are misremembering.
If I click "Try Free" I get to a window where I can Download Object Desktop or Renew.
Nothing there to download Connection Explorer.
And Downloading and Installing Object Desktop I see that all licenses have a date of 2016 and I cannot try anything.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Perhaps, you used to have Object Desktop subscription back than, and your OD Subscription is currently not active, yes?
Do know, currently Connection Explorer can only be trial via Object Desktop. Would like to suggest for a little wait until Connection Explorer release as a fully standalone release version. Which, I believe, should than offer a Standalone free trial.

bdsams has posted about Connection Explorer and I'd suggest you refer to his posts about it.
Here he refers to when it will become a stand alone. Until then you have to be an Object Desktop subscriber to dl and try the betas.

The 1.0 will be here in a matter of 1-2 or 3 weeks from what I've read.
As a separate matter, I'd suggest purchasing an OD subscription if only for the value and customization possibilities it offers.
This is correct. I see the same thing. I pay for Stardock now but had Object Desktop a few years ago, so I was seeing the same thing. It wouldnt let me do the Free Trial. I am trying to buy ONLY Connection Explorer, but looks like I cant buy it by itself. Is it only available in Object Desktop? I cant just buy it alone?
No, unfortunately, Connection Explorer, have not come out as full release yet, it is still under Beta version release. Hopefully it will be in full release version soon. From what I understand, the stand alone version should be available when the full release version is release.

Ok got it....thank you. I am a huge fan of the Stardock products....I love Start and have been using it for years. I'll keep an eye out for Connection Explorer coming out as its own product. There are too many in the Object Desktop that I don't use, and it wouldn't be worth it to purchase it there with the whole package. Thank you for your response!
