Happy New Year Stardock and WinCustomize!

Well, folks...here we are, together on New Year's Eve...with the desktop you chose (almost) unanimously.

WB/Winstep theme is Evolve WB by Master BoXXi, Winstep by Masters DanilloOc/WebGizmos and brought to you by Winstep Technologies/JcRabbit, wall by me and AI nano Banana.

To all the great, hardworking folks at Stardock, and to all the great people here at WC...to our community whether active or not, the happiest, healthiest and bestest (yes Jafo, that's a word ;)  ) new year EVER!

Doc :waaaa:

Keeping pelaird busy with cyborgs. Evolve ported to WB by BoXXi (hint, hint Bry) from WSX by JcRabbit and dani. Wall is combination of two from the web, recolored and modded, the cyborg Roy and the Police car from Blade Runner.

Without Roy...but with modules:

Thanks, Reaper. One my top 3 sf movies. It was simply outstanding. The sequel wasn't, though.

I agree fully. Have you guys ever read the book it's based on? "Do androids dream of Electric sheep?" It's pretty mind blowing.

Yes...Philip K. Dick's sf classic, along with Asimov's series about robots and the 3 laws of robotics. Those were the books of my youth, along with Heinlein's classics and Arthur C. Clark's.

What great memories!  |-)

Many in common, indeed, my friends. The Martian was phenomenal, as were many you posted, pelaird. I slighted Ray Bradbury...and that was a bad oversight. I swear he could paint a scene in my mind, and was the master of mood. I think my walls with kiddies in them come from his stories. Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, Something Wiked this Way Comes, Dandelion Wine,  The Illustrated Man, October Country, I sing the Body Electric, The Machineries of Joy, R is for Rocket, S is for Space. Incredible classics, all.

Edgar Rice Burroughs's Barsoom and John Carter, Warlord of Barsoom with his Dejah Thoris and Tars Tarkas. I read them in High School. Wow...

I had to give up sci-fi in med school. Not enough time with work, classes, studying and in 1973 trying to catch up after the war.
