Excluding Windows Settings?

According to Windows, the Settings app is "SystemSettings.exe", but when I try to exclude this from WindowsBlinds, the exclusion is ignored. This makes it almost impossible to use the Search function as this is covered by the WB title bar.

When you get to the Add Application prompt to browse for the app to be excluded, enter this: C:\Windows\explorer.exe Shell:AppsFolder

This will take you to the Applications folder where you can select "Settings" to be excluded.

That does indeed take me to the Applications folder, but there seems no way to get the selection of Settings through to WB. It opens a separate explorer window, which doesn't seem to have any way to communicate with WB.

Unfortunately, Settings is not really an application, but part of the operating system. It is referred to as the windows.immersivecontrolpanel located at "C:\Windows\ImmersiveControlPanel\SystemSettings.exe" but invoked by the OS using ms-settings commands.

I thought that trick might work, but I guess not.

Maybe someone else will have experience with how to block Settings from WindowBlinds.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried excluding all UWP apps. Refer here on how to exclude it: https://forums.stardock.com/534239/. Remember to reboot your system after the exclusion.

Excluding ApplicationFrameHost.exe did the trick, thanks. I had tried excluding SystemSettings.exe but that wasn't enough.
