Good lord doesnt any one remeber the orignial win amp before it got WEIRD?!

Hey all, I know winamp has many many versions now. I still use the first. Its the most simple, less conflection, and all around best version. I know all of you will turn up your nose at that, but I think that is rightly so! Now, I think Stardock should make a 1.0 section aswell.

I wouldn't know as I have never used the newer Winamps. I was unimpressed with the first versions and found better proggies to do the job.

Lol you want lack of features? go to http://wave.prohosting.com/xxcoder/xx.htm and look for XXAmp. Smallest player around, You could put many copies of it in floppy disk.

I've used winamp since 1.x days and I only saw it drift from its original idea with version 3.0 . I think it has added more simply because that is what many people ask for. No one said you had to upgrade. If you prefer the older versions than help yourself to them.
I like Winamp how it is, does what I need and some of the additions I have liked as well. I'm especially glad that free form skins have become more the norm as I got tired of the same ol shape even if I usually kept it minimized lol.

I've been using winamp since 2.0 and hated every other media player... But with the new winamps (3 and 5) I Don't like the video players :-\ Just doesn't give the options that realone player does ^_^ But That'd be awesome having a 1.0 section for wallpapers!! Winamp rocks!
