Hello again,
Windows 11 Home Build 26200
Deskscapes 8 (8.51)
--------------------------------------
Let me list what I have done so far;
Uninstalled Deskscapes
Rebooted
Ran the DSPurge.bat file
Rebooted
Installed a newly downloaded Desksacpes 8 app (8.51)
Observations;
Still does not animate a dream animation file.
Interesting though, if I turn on the screensaver mode in DS and preview the dream I get interesting behavior.
Namely, the animation on my primary laptop screen animates and something odd on my secondary monitor.
On the secondary monitor I get an outer border of the static image and a working animation window that's about 80% of the full window in the center of the display. Very strange.
I opened the Intel Graphics Software that supports the on-board Intel graphics chip, and tried changing some basic settings like HDR and GPU Scaling. Though these had some effects on the display output, there was no positive effect on the playing of the animation.
I am a senior software engineer with 30+ years of experience and this is looking like behavior I see when a new graphics chip comes out from the manufacturer. Just a guess though.
I hope this information helps ![]()
Thanks for the support,
Mark
A second thought,
could this be a codex problem?
Thanks again,
Mark
I was able to resolve my issues with Deskscapes not playing properly by installing the K-lite Codec Pack from https://codecguide.com/
Great, glad to hear that.
