Patch 3.1 Issues

Hi All

 

Been years since posted on these forums :)

 

So ive updated to the new patch and ill be honest its broken the game for me and now unplayable :(

 

Lots of bugs in now.

 

Pathing over long distances is just broken and cant get my ship near where i want to go it just goes off in some random direction .

Also dont like the pathing when near hyperlanes as ill be trying to explore a certain area looking for resources but it will jump me into the hyper lane for a bit and then pop me out near where i want to go but doesnt help exploration

Area of influence doesnt show now so impossible to see my borders and if asteroids are under my control etc

Fog of war doesnt clear properly after scouting so cant be 100% sure if already been and explored.

Key resources like Anti Matter and Elireium just seem to clump up in areas and ill have like 10 of the same in a little cluster and other side another 10 Anti matter

Get a victory screen at a few turns as well .

 

Probably more but i cant play the game now to find them out as just unplayable .

 

 

I have done a full reinstall of game as thought it may have been corrupted but still no change and unplayable .

 

Is it possible to change back to previous patch ?

Any help appreciated .

Hoping Stardock are at least doing an insiders patch fix before they finish for the holidays.  Some of the bugs in the last patch were pretty shocking to let slip past.  Would be very bad to leave things as they are just before Christmas when more people have free time.  I'm itching to play but going to have to find another game otherwise.

Not seeing anything on Steam.  There was an update for Elemental Reforged the other day but nothing new today.

Looks like a few files were changed in Data folder not much else elsewhere.  No post on forums yet... multiple extra advisors bug not fixed.  Steam Sale on Endless Legend 2 is looking very tempting...

(I switched from insiders 15mb patch then back to insiders 37mb patch if memory is correct)

It perplexes me that some of these very obvious bugs were not spotted before release of the 3.10 update; and if they were spotted, why the update was released with them.  I would rather the update been delayed as to get this.

Noticed issues in early update version:

Cannot change self Made races.

"X" ether ship explore needs to be a different button or the map function to zoom out needs to be something else (Maybe "C"?)

Stardock really dropped the ball this Christmas, release a very average low effort DLC that's overpriced & an awful patch that breaks a load of things.  Then go radio silence and leave things unfixed over the holidays when people have the most spare time to play and money to spend...

I'm sure they must have a very small team working on the game but that's not a good enough excuse.

I had planned on playing GCIV a ton over these holidays, the core gameplay is excellent, but just bought Endless Legend 2 instead.  Hope Stardock get their act together in the new year, needs more quality assurance people on the team, some much needed care & polish.  Also if you are going to release more DLC make sure it's worth the money... a lot of people are downvoting the game on steam at the moment for this reason alone.
