ObjectDock 2 maesses up severely Windows 11 system

Compatibility

I used to run ObjectDock 2 on Windows 10 for years.

I lately upgraded to Windows 11 -

ObjectDock got installed easily

However: it locks up any changes to the "Default Apps" in Windows settings. At least 2 issues are noticed:
(1)  if you try to open a file using "Open with" it will either not open (do nothing) or will not let you choose "Open with anonter App" or if it does you will not be able to choose another app!

(2) If you go to "Windows Settings > Default Apps" you will not be able to do anything!! It will not do any changes and will not issue any error message. Very frustrating!

once you stop ObjectDock through "Task Manager" - everything works correctly!

My solution is:
I moved to "ObjectDock 3" - the newest vesrsion - and it works OK, no problems with Windows 11. I just had to pay the $10 for the new License. It certainly worth it, the new version is nicer, quicker and has new features.

I suggest STARDOCK should announce that the
Free version is not compatible with Windows 11
!!

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear you’re running into issues.

ObjectDock v2 has known compatibility limitations starting from Windows 10. As far as I recall, the original product page never listed Windows 10 support, so the lack of Windows 11 compatibility would naturally follow from that.

That said, I’m curious where you think Stardock should communicate that the free version isn’t compatible with Windows 11, given that the original ObjectDock v2 product page is no longer available. Your suggestion might help us understand how to make this clearer for users.

Thank you,

I have been using ObjectDock 3.01 on Windows 10 and 11 for years now, it works fine on both operating systems.
