Win11 desktop ICONS disappear when double clicking empty area after uninstalling Fences

I'm having a problem with desktop icons after uninstalling. I did an a trial install yesterday, 12/9/25. Didn't care for the program and did an uninstall. Everything seeks ok but when I double click an empty space on the desktop, my icons disappear and it said this is a Fences feature still available to me. This only happened once, but when I double click an open space on the desktop, my icons disappear until I double click again. Any ideas?

I did reboot without success. I was able to resolve the issues using the Stardock purge script on your website
