After applying theme, Windows Explorer doesn't open or if the window opens, no contents are displayed.

Only the Default Theme is usable at this point.

Hello team,

I just purchased WindowsBlidns today and after installing and rebooting, I tried applying some themes.  However, for all themes except the Default theme, Windows Explorer won't open, or if it opens no contents are displayed.

I'm running Windows 11 and the lates WindowsBlinds verision.

Please help.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need few more details.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. WindowBlinds full version number.
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party Shell replacement or any modification application running? Such as WindHawk, OpenShell etc.

Thank you,

    Version 23H2 Build 22631.6199
  2. WindowBlinds full version number.
    WindowBlinds 11.07 (024 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party Shell replacement or any modification application running? Such as WindHawk, OpenShell etc.
I was using OldNewExplorer, but I removed it prior to installing Blinds.  I'm also using OpenShell and RetroBar, but both of them were installed after I installed Blinds and realized I couldn't open explorer.

First, try updating your Windows 11 to more recent version such as 24H2 or 25H2. Reboot and see if the issue still there. If it still there, uninstall OpenShell and retrobar. Reboot and retest it. Report back.
