Playing Insiders version. Went to load saved game from yesterday (Insiders 3.1) and game loads but screen is locked and will not respond to any mouse or keyboard commands. Screen image also runs off monitor on all sides. Starting new game seems to load a perfectly good game. Is this working as intended or a glitch?
Can you share that save file over in the Sitrep channel on discord ?
I was playing with the saved game before I sent it to you and I was able to get the screen to pop back to normal and the game playable by doing alt tab & alt esc a bunch of times. Still loads borked so I'll post in case you feel like looking at it.
I'm in same situation. My game was started with the 3.01 patch. An earlier 3.10 update had messed the tech tree up a bit but since Terran DLC release my game is unplayable. Starting a new game UI is normal.
That's exactly how my screen looked. Try doing alt-esc, alt-caps, alt-shift, and alt-tab a bunch of times. My screen did eventually reset and the game was playable. I saved it and that save had the same problem, but I saved it again and got a good save. Hope you get lucky and the game comes back for you too!
Thanks scifi1950 that worked. Managed to save it, it sticks a bit on entering the game now with the messed up UI but corrects itself after 10 secs or so. Thought my game was over, back to crushing the Onyx & Torians... or maybe it's a sign I should start a new game.
Looks like you've got a really good game going! I will say that I really like the 3.1 changes, so when you're ready start a new game & try it.
