Fences 6.02 Background and refresh issues

Hi, I have been using Fences 3 on Win11 - it was solid. I weaked to the marketing and purchased Fences 6.02 for the tabs feature. It has issues.

1) When gliding across tabs, the content doesnt refresh fully (icons missing), until the mouse is moved after the glide onto the tab. Icon content refresh in tabs is slow.

2) When using tabs and gliding over them, often the tab, fence and screen backgrounds are corrupted to black, requiring a refresh or reboot.

3) System has been unstable with memory errors since installing Fences 6.0

I'm close to calling a refund and restoring 3.0 - unless these are issues being worked on / expected to disappear soon.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Hi, likewise, would it be possible to post a recording of the issue? The team would like to see what's going on. Please share if there are other system or desktop enhancement tools you are using. Agreed likewise a reset/reinstall first might be a good call. Thank you

Having same issue here, if i open a tab everything behind it goes wonky. Like blackscreen etc. I just tried doing a purge and checked all my drivers. Im running Win 11 if it matters, also when fences was uninstalled i had no issues (but then again no fences to cause problems)

Messed up wallpaper so one thing ive noticed as well is if i try to create a new folder half the time it just hella messes with my wallpaper as well, see the link above. One other thing to note is i have two monitors, one is an ultrawide and the other is in portrait mode. Feel free to bug me for any other questions but this is super frustrating.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. You on Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Fences full version number installed.
  3. Do you have animated wallpaper running in the background? Using Stardock Deskscapes or Wallpaper Engine?

Version: 23H2 (OS Build 22631.6199)

Its windows 11 Pro

Im using fences 6.02

I have no animated wallpaper or anything of that nature installed. 

Let me know what i should try.

Please update your Windows 11 to the current v25H2 or at least latest 24H2. Reboot after the update, retest and report back.
