I can't find where to hide the detailed list information header.

I can't find where to hide the detailed list information header.

----------------

I just upgraded from Fences3 to Fences6.

There used to be a feature to hide the detailed list information header, and it's mentioned in the documentation, but I can't find the option.

My system is Windows 10.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I've check I don't see such option on my Fences v3. You sure that option from Fences?

Yes, the version is 3.1.6.1.

This option will only appear if you select the "Detailed List View" option first.

The "Detailed List View" option is not selected in the image you provided.

However, the option disappeared after updating to version 6.

c004002449 Any chance you can switch the language in the about box to English and restart? This would help us be able to see what’s going on. Thanks for your help

I switched to English mode, but the option is still not available.

Do you have same context menu if you just simply right click that Portal Fence background?

The Windows sandbox is displaying correctly (I'm so touched!).

How can I achieve this functionality in a normal environment?

That show something in your current system making the item does not appear as it should. Would like to suggest to try Clean boot as mention here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1332445272/Fences+Clean+Boot. Do note that Clean boot steps should be done with care. Try it and report back.

One option also- you can upload your settings to our team, so we can load them up and try to reproduce on our end. To do this, in the About tab, click Troubleshooting and then you’ll see an option such as Submit/Upload error report

FYI, I am not seeing this context menu item when a folder portal is set to View > Details. I have tried every configuration of the settings to see if something was blocking it. Nothing seems to enable this context menu item.

After several attempts, I discovered something.

When I completely uninstall Fences v6 (leaving no settings or backups), the option to hide the list header appears correctly. However, when I restore the backup by putting the desktop backup back up, the option disappears again.

Additionally, a bug report has been submitted.

Excellent. We have a release coming up in the next couple weeks, so hopefully we see and can fix. Thank you!

Hi c004, thanks again for the report.

Good news, the team was able to look at your settings and found the root of the issue. Having "Show controls in header" off was the cause.

The issue has been resolved on our end for the next release, and feel free to just turn this option back on in the meantime to resolve on your end until then.

Thank you again!
