drag and drop doesn't work

Drag and drop doesn't work. When I drag items from an app to the desktop, Windows Explorer crashes. This happens when I hover the cursor over the lower right corner of the toolbar to reveal the desktop.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still appear, we need to know more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Start11 full version number install.
  3. Post a video showing this issue so we understand it better.

Thank you,

Have you done the uninstall and reinstall steps, I've suggested above? Also, please use Winver.exe that came with your Windows and post the actual number. Just saying "everything newest" is not we ask for.

Note on the video, if you don't open up your app full screen and drag it to the desktop does the crash still happen? And, if you turn off Fences, and try it again, does it work properly?

Thank you,

Unfortunately, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Refer my Video below.

Would like to know if the issue appear with any other application such as Windows Explorer or any other application or other browser?

Thank you,

I have no idea what could it be causing this

Okay... the error occurred because I didn't restart my computer AGAIN after fresh reinstallation. Everything's fine now. I apologize for the minor oversight. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

For the future... you should add a reminder to update Start11 after updating Windows itself. Some kind of system to detect version incompatibilities or something...

I believe it a basic must to reboot on everything that get install/reinstall/update on Software that work closely with your System. So, every Windows update and Start11 update/reinstall, reboot is a must to ensure stability.
