Excessive CPU usage

from Stardock Forums

This has stopped happening since I disabled Fences.

I was a pretty wretched week while I was trialing Fences.

 

Any solution?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try, uninstall Fences, reboot immediately (important), re-download latest version available for you. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the same issue still appear, we need more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Fences full version you have installed in your system.

Thanks for the report, can you share which process or processes are causing such a spike?

 

Fences is single threaded, so it’s not possible for it to be generating a spike like this on all your cores.
