Things that where great in sins 1 and are just useless now.

worthless things in sins 2

The pirates in sins 1 used to have a time when the auction to spend money to get pirates to attack other races and keep them from attacking you now that is gone and  in sins one they was no range they could be sent to attack any planet on the map now the range  is  so small they are  just worthless I do not  even bother with them anymore.

Also, the Advent biggest ability was culture, and it seems to do absolutely nothing in Sins 2 in Sins 1 they could take a planet and never fire a shot. I do not see anything on planets about faction that you have to worry about losing them.

In the comics there was superman and in a alternate universe there was Bizarro this almost seems like the Bizarro Sins of a Solar Empire.

You are putting out DLC when the base game still is not up to par for a game that has launched. I bought the game on epic am I receiving the same updates as steam?? So far, the game is rather disappointing as far as the Advent and Pirates go especially the pirates they added so much fun to the first Sins.

Pirates have been nerfed, yes, but there is an option to spend influence to launch raids within 15 AU of a TEC planets with an Auxiliary Supply Depot, or Advent Heathen Quarter. The Alliance Xeno Embassy offers the same within an 18 AU range, while the Exodus Xeno Embassy is only 12 AU, and both are restricted to City, Desert, Oceanic, Primordial, or Terran planet types - which often do not exist on maps, or only exist as enemy homeworlds.

The Advent's conquest by culture option still exists, but it's a Wrath only Unity power - https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire_II/Unity#Conversion

Steam and Epic should have the same updates - they're just different storefronts for the same game.

I agree. The pirate faction is useless. Please increase their range.
