Apps installed from microsoft store

add icons to object dock

So. The only way I was able to add any app from the MS store install to object dock was to right click on it in the start11 menu and tell it to create an icon on the desktop and then drag it into the dock.  If I delete the icon on the desktop it does not work even though I enabled the setting to go to the target and not the shortcut.  when I delete the shortcut after putting it in the dock the error is the desktop shortcut isnt available.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're running into issues. Based on what I know, that method is the simplest way to get it to show up on your Dock. That said, the shortcut doesn’t need to be on your desktop—you can organize them into a folder to keep things tidy. Once they’re in a folder, you can drag those shortcuts one at a time into the Dock to access everything easily without cluttering your desktop. Do note that you should not delete off those shortcut from that folder for it to work.

Thank you,

I've found the easiest way to add shortcuts for apps installed from Microsoft store is to create a temporary Quick-Launch dock. Once that dock appears, right click on it and choose: View > Show Applications. Now open the apps you want on your main dock and they will show on the Quick-Launch because they are running,  and drag the icons over to your main dock. Once you get done with the Quick-Launch dock, you can delete it.
