start11 and toolbars in windows 11

transfer toolbars to win 11

Hi,

I just noticed that on my start11, running with windows 10, I can create my own toobars (just as in the win 10 start). One of the main things that kept me from going to win11, is that I would have to re-create all my finely tuned start menu. This is where I set my hope on start11, that I get a good transition from win 10 start to start11 (and that so far has been done with good success) and then continue start11 with the same settings in windows 11 (not done yet).

One of the features I would have missed in win 11 was the toolbars which I used extensively in win 10. I just saw that in win 10 under start11, I can have my custom toolbars - now I wonder if this would be then also available once I move start11 to windows 11.

Will this be the case, or is this a windows 10 internal functionality that start11 just hooks into and will not have in windows 11?

Cheers,
Gunter

Unfortunately, Toolbars are not available in Windows 11, even with Start11v2.

If you do an In-place update to Windows 11, all your Start11 settings should remain. You could also do a backup of your Start11 settings to a file using the Start11 Settings Backup feature before you update to windows 11.

You can create popup menus pinned to the taskbar which can help.
