Windows 10 home... Love Fences and Windows Blinds, but have issue with Window Blinds.

Window Blinds on Win10 won't save font color for Desktop icons

Window Blinds on Win10 won't save font color for Desktop icons when powered down then restarted.  I have to open config every time after a reboot then save the style again to turn the desktop fonts from black, back to white. Everything else about the style load is fine.

Windows 10 Home 64bit

OS build 19045.6456

Dell Inspiron 5566

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I wasn’t aware that WindowBlinds could change the desktop icon font color — or perhaps I’ve just forgotten. If it’s possible, would you mind sharing the steps so I can give it a try?"

Thank you,

Thank you Basj.   I have had this issue for quite a long time.  It seems no matter what preset style I choose, I have had an issue with the white fonts for icons on my desktop turning to black after a I boot up again.  My tedious work around for some time has been to just open the config panel for Window Blinds and hit load style again to refresh the fonts.

As per Fences, which I could not live without, I used to have a folder and after saving my desktop layout, I would also do a full screen capture and date it, so I could go back to it in case some folders, apps, or icons were moved without realizing it.  It is not practical to do that anymore with the TABS feature, which I also love, as it keeps things much more organized for me. It makes no sense to do a screen capture when other folders are hidden.  What happens., is when you would drag a file or folder to another fence, sometimes it would grab something you did not realize.  I used to have folders missing on my desktop, then figured out they had moved into another folder by accident.  Now I just basically rely on the Save Layout in the fences config to take care of things.

Too many things on my desk..... ha ha.

All in all, I still love the software.

Thanks Pilot

From what I know by default, Windows desktop icons fonts, always have White with black/gray shadow under it. If it turn black, than something else is causing. Does the issue appear if you do not apply any Windowblinds skin. ie. Set Windowblinds to use Windows default skin. Try that and report back.
