KVM mode Unable to connect

I am having an issue where my Multiplicity is not connecting to my other computer. I did replace my router recently with just a newer version of the previous router but all the settings are the same. The internal IPs are set correctly. Any help is appreciated. I did open the ports on the router just in case but still no luck. 

 

I also checked the firewall on the target machine and the software is in the list, the app is set to secondary, and KVM is not disabled.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try these steps on all related systems, uninstall Multiplicity, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.  Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still appear, please report back with more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Need its full version and OS Build number on all systems. Please use winver.exe.
  2. Multiplicity version installed. Make sure both or all related systems are running the same Multiplicity version.

Ok i did a total uninstall and reinstall still no luck

 

Windows 11 on both computers 

Primary PC

  • Windows 11 Pro
  • Version 25H2
  • OS Build 26200.6899

Secondary PC:

  • Windows 11 Pro
  • Version 25H2
  • OS Build 26200.6899

Update

 

I hooked up my previous router Asus AX88U (non pro) and the KVM connects immediately. 

When I connect the BE88U that is when the KVM fails to connect. So we can confirm the problem is lying with the router but not to sure where to go from here.

Did you try running your router in DMZ? Just to verify if it's not a internal firewall problem?

I have just tried setting up the DMZ for both computer IP addresses and it is still rejecting on the BE88U.

I turned off the firewall completely on the BE88U router and it is still not allowing Multiplicity to connect. Also I should mention this is Multiplicity 3 on both machines.

its installed from STEAM. And i how would the uninstall affect if the program will immediately start working again if i just go plug back in the AX88U?

 

I can try the uninstall tool in the morning if you think that might be it.

Ok so I checked the firewall settings and did see public was not enabled so i did convert both PCs to a private network and the KVM works. But I am so confused as to why with these settings unchanged i plug in the AX88u and everything works perfectly and the BE88U it breaks with 0 changes
