Multiplicity 4.07 Seamless Display does´nt work

I am testing Multiplicity 4.07 Pro. My problem is that everything, i.e. mouse, keyboard, audio, copy and paste, works fine, but sadly not seamless display.

In Primary computer, Multiplicity setup, under Seamless Display, I have connected my Windows 10 computer.
In secondary computer, under Seamless Display, I have tickt "Allow this computer to share …" and "Automatically accept remote…".

My setup is:
Primary computer: Windows 11 23H2 Home
Secondary computer: Windows 10 22H2 Home
Firewall: Avast where I have set the ports and file exeptions stated in the maunual.

What is wrong? Is there any setting missing? I would be grateful for help.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, on every system, please try, uninstall Multiplicity 4, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Hello Basj, thank you for your answer,

I have uninstalled Multiplicity, reboot and reinstalled new downloaded version. Unfortunately  it still doesn't work.

I am testing Multiplicity 4.07 Pro.

On each PC, yes?

On the Secondary, you need to allow remote seamless connections

Once the connection is made on the Secondary, you need to allow it

On the Primary, when you enabled it, did you install the Multiplicity Display adaptor software:

Did you enter the name of the remote PC and passcode exactly as it is on the Control menu on the Secondary?

You then access the remote display from the systray icon on the Primary

Hi,

I have made the settings you refer to on both computers.

I have a vague memory of answering the "Screen Sharing Request" question when I first installed Multiplicity. But I don't think I was asked to install "Display adapters". Can I check that or reinstall it somehow?

Then, on the systray icon on primary, I selected "Seamless Display" on the secondary computer. But my problem persists.

Regards
Anders

When you do the seamless display connection, does anything appear on the secondary computers monitor?  You should see a fullscreen window open.

No, nothing happens at all.

What happens if you try the reverse, try to connect to the other PCs monitor(s)?  Again, setting up the Primary as a Secondary and vice versa and going through the steps above.

I did the reverse setup and got the question to install adapters, answered yes. I setup the connection to secondary. Mouse, keyboard, audio, copy and paste, works.

When I did the Seamless Display connection to Secondary the first time, the fullscreen opened all white with error text "Connection failed due to an unknown protocol error. (3)". I reboot both computers and tried again. This time I saw Primary Window's start page fullscreen on Secondary, but could not display anything else from Primary computer.

How old are the PCs \ video cards we are dealing with?  Are all your video drivers up to date?

I have updated drivers on both computers now and reboot, but can still not display anything from Primary computer except Windows start page.

This may be a factor : Graphic card on my Windows 10: NVIDIA 930M 1 GB and Intel HD Graphics 520 (128 MB)

I would imagine this dual setup is liable to cause problems on the primary.

While your setup may not be something we can work around, I have logged it to be looked at.

I have this same issue.  When I slide the cursor off screen it says on top of my primary now controlling secondary but the screen stays showing the primary and doesnt switch to secondary and not sure why since both are windows 11.

Try switching to KVM which I did and that works great which doesn't make sense since the other way doesnt and I have everything checked.

I think you may be misunderstanding things here.

Seamless mode is used to control another local machine which has its own display (typically next to your primary displays).  The keyboard and mouse simply switches to control the other machine.  The display remains showing your primary on the primary and the secondary on the secondary.

KVM mode is used when you want video as well which is what I see you have now used.
