How to Register and Download Galatic Civilizations IV

Hi,

I've purchased Galatic Civilizations IV but can't work out how to be able to download it. I've made a Stardock account, and the product key shows up in my purchases, but I can't seem to register the product. On the Reguster page, there is no drop down in the product list for Galactic Civilizations IV, and I just get an Error response when I put the product key into a previous version )it has Glalaxctic Civilizations and Galactic Civilizations II). I'm probably missing something obvious. If anyone can help..

You most likely purchased a Steam key. It has to be activated on Steam.

How do I register a CD Key to activate a product on Steam?

Please follow these instructions to activate a new retail purchase on Steam:

  1. Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.
  2. Click the Games menu option at the top of the Steam client.
  3. Choose Activate a Product on Steam...
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

Thanks for asking this, @AxelFoley63 ! I was just going through the same confusion. Following the link directly was the key for me too. It’s not the most intuitive process, but it works. Happy galactic conquering! |-)
