Multiplayer (Not Logging In)

Hello,

 

I just got Sins 2 on Steam and can't seem to connect to the online servers for multiplayer. A friend in New Zealand is connecting and playing online fine. But when ever I try to connect is just says, Error sending request to 'https://ico-api.stardock.net/api/logins/steam'. Could not resolve host: ico-api.stardock.net (3). 

 

I have already reverified my files multiple times, deleted the sins 2 folder and in my appdata and reverified again, and restarted my PC. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I am also having issues - I am using the stardock launcher via steam and when I go to click Submit with my login info correctly entered, nothing happens. Inside the game it also shows me as not logged in and therefore unable to access multiplayer.

Could this be caused by ports not being forwarded in my router? Is there something else I need to be looking for that could stop me from connecting? 

 

Any help on deciphering this error message the game is giving me for not being able to log in would be greatly appreciated, Please!

Resolved the problem, was a router that was going bad. Replaced my router today, and the problem is gone.
