How do you make Start Buttons

Does anyone have a link for a good tutorial for making StartButtons. I've created the image that I want to be my start button, but when I open it through the "Pick image" button under the Start Button > Use a custom start button image, it appears huge. I know I must have the dimensions or some other setting of it set wrong. I've tried to apply the same settings from the icons that come with Start11 (Arsenic Orb, etc), but I can't seem to get it correct. Any advice is appreciated.

I've never made a start buttons...but it seems to me that you should download one of pelaird's start buttons, open the zip file and import it into Photoshop (or similar). Check the image file type (.png) and enable rulers so you can get the dimensions. Check the image size, as well.

OR, you can look up pelaird, and drop him a pm (I'll do that for you)...which might be the easiest choice.

Good luck!

Start buttons are PNG images with three equal height frames. The top frame is NORMAL, the middle frame is HOVER, and the bottom frame is OPEN. A good place to start is a PNG image 40 px wide by 120 px tall.

Stardock has a Start Button Creation tool which can be found here.

@pelaird, Thank you. That utility works great! I don't see it mentioned in the Start11 settings, but maybe I missed it.
