Multiplicity won't recognize my license for multiple computers after installing latest release.

I installed the latest release based on a notification to install.  I installed this on my Primary Computer.  When I go to configure the 'other' Computer it states my product license has expired.  When I enter the product license it states...

What the heck am I supposed to do?

My license is for multiple systems obviously or I wouldn't need this product.

I tried activating using  the license delivered to by email and also activating it from the Stardock account.  I also restarted all the Multiplicity processes.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, from what I know, you don't need to have Multiplicity activated on all secondary computer. Just make sure to set them as secondary system for your Seamless connection.

I can't get access to configure the secondary computer at all.  Your knowledge I believe is incorrect as I should be able to configure the 'Secondary' computer as a 'Secondary Computer'.  I have zero access now!

If I can't access the configuration like I have before today, then how would I set another Computer as 'Secondary'?

Hey, I am not trying to activate it.  I should be able to hit the 'Configure' context menu item and gain access to a  configuration view applicable to the secondary computer.

Are you saying this may have changed and there is no longer need to access Properties such as security accesses granted to allow functions such as locking one computer, which will then lock another also if configured for access.

The key point I am trying to make is that I believe there are properties that need to be configured that I can't access any longer.

Perhap, you have choose wrongly when you installed Multiplicity in your secondary system. Please try, uninstall Multiplicity on your secondary system, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it refer to my video below as a simple guide on how to setup secondary system, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Actually I think you may have stumbled upon the issue.

I had just installed on the primary.  I went to see if I opened the config on the Secondary it would ask to be updated.  This is where I have the issue where I can't do anything with it.

Tomorrow morning I will get the download and install.

You need to say yes to that prompt it shows.

I think you accidentally enabled the option to allow a secondary to control other computers via KVM mode rather than just the primary.  That needs activation as a primary on the secondary which wouldn't work as each copy of MP is licensed for one primary.

Hey,

You were correct in that I needed to answer 'Yes' to that prompt.  Never seen that prompt before nor did I change any configuration whatsoever other than when I first installed it a couple months back.  Maybe I inadvertently had it set back then and it just decided to bite me now.

I also installed the new version before I did this.

Thanks for the help as I believe the issue is fully resolved now.
