Unable to rearrange icons in ObjectDock

Dragging icons around on my dock does not move the icon, it just goes back to where it was.

This is what my dock looks like:

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more details.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. ObjectDock version number.
  3. If you change the dock placement from left to bottom, can you arrange it while at the bottom?

Thank you,

Thanks for the reply, it appears docking in any horizontal orientation will allow for icon movement. Neither vertical orientation (left and right edge) works.

Version of ObjectDock: 3.01

Windows 11 24h2 26100.4946

I can do the workaround for now. Might want to consider fixing it for vertical orientations, or at least include that note about needing the dock to be horizontal for dragging icons in the in-app help.

Great to hear that. Next, try this, make your vertical icons size smaller, give it some vertical space on top and bottom. After that is done, try moving it again, does it work? If it does not try adjusting the zoom amount lower. Try it again. Does it work now?

If it work, it shows that you have too many icons to display when you hover over the icon to move it causing there is not enough space for the dock to work properly. What you can do is, cut down on the icons or try using the tabbed dock so you can manage your icons better.
