"Hide user interface" hides the stars.

Hello, I like to play Sins 2 without the user interface and enjoy the cinematic battles. However, I noticed that the 'Hide user interface' function hides all the stars (icons) as well. That's not good for the immersion. Which file or entry do I need to modify to change this? I want to create a mod for the gaming community, as I'm sure I'm not the only one bothered by this.

Hey, I would try editing the "line_of_sight_radius" and maybe the "box" in every "star.unit" file to see if that helps. You can find those in entity directory
On mutlistar maps, it may proven to be hardcoded. But won't find out, until you try it :)

Hello Zabik_2,

I multiplied the values of 'line_of_sight_radius' and 'extents' by 8 in all the _star.unit files, but nothing changed.
Maybe there's another way. A mod that hides only the GUI elements using key bindings, for example?

I don't think you can fix that with just a file tweak, sadly. From what I remember, the star icons are tied to the HUD layer, so when that's off, they're gone.

Hopefully this will be revised. It breaks the immersion, especially for No-HUD players like myself. I’ve started a poll titled "Hide user interface" in the Discord channel (#Sins2-suggestions).
