Problem with WB and Windows 11

First of all, I want to make clear that my core problem *really* is with Windows 11 Home, but I think it is manifesting in WB as well, and I'm hoping I can at least get a solution to the WB issue here...

My system:
Windows 11 Core 24H2 (26100.ge_release.240331-1435)
WindowBlinds 11.02 (017 x64 etc)

The problem that I'm having on Windows 11, is that after an OS update a few months ago, File Explorer no longer functions; when I click on the icon, I get Explorer with Quick access displayed, and clicking on any other icons or links, simply does nothing... 

I won't get into all the efforts that I've gone through to try to fix this, including the long list of "solutions" from Microsoft Support, none of which do anything...

What has this to do with WindowBlinds??  I wanted to try adding File Explorer to the list of applications that are ignored by WB, to see if that had anything to do with this issue.  However, when I go to Per Application page, and click Add button, nothing happens... I have a hunch it is *also* trying to use File Explorer, and that fails just like all other attempts... 

Is there anything that I can do to add File Explorer to the WB exclusion list, or at least get access to the WB dialog for that purpose??

Can I ask which version of Start11 you're using? I remember File Explorer having problems with older versions of Start11. Also, it might be that WB 11.02 didn't install correctly. Before doing anything, please wait for basj to visit your post.

You need to install the latest WindowBlinds version.  11.02 is too old to support the more recent Microsoft changes.

11.05 is current I believe.  This is available from your store downloads page.

Oh, interesting... I didn't even consider whether I had current version of WB11 !!  Every time I start up my laptop, I get a reminder to update Start 11 (it got updated again today when I booted the machine), but I haven't gotten any notices to update WB in a long time!!  I'll go do that...

I just downloaded and installed WB 11.06, rebooted, and now File Explorer works perfectly !!!

It's still a mystery, though, why WB wasn't notifying me of available updates??  
When I went back and told it to search for Updates (after getting your responses here), it said my 11.02 version was current.

When I then went to the Stardock/Windowblinds site, logged in, and went to download the current version, it asked for my email address, then said that there was an upgrade available to me for $7.50 ...
However, I went back to my original registration email, used the link there, and it downloaded and installed with no issues...

it's probably another Windows 11 anomaly...

I just installed 24H2 and had the same problem. My current version is 11.04. Now downloading 11.06. Also no mention of an update in Object Desktop app.
