make WindowBlinds skins apply to Chrome and edge

How can I make WindowBlinds skins apply to Chrome? I downloaded the Chrome shortcut you provided, but when I run it, it says the shortcut is invalid. Are there any other ways to make it work?

You cannot, and Stardock can't change that. Chrome was changed to not accept skinning. Edge is Chrome based so, it won't accept skins, either.

Firefox can still be skinned as can Pale Moon.

Hi Doc.

I have not booted into my Windowblinds SSD for a while and used the net, besides Updating the drive, How long has it been unable to skin Chrome. I Think i must be too used to Winhawk Mods, as Chrome Skins normally for me with "Bring Back Borders" Using The Flip Side Of the Skinning Coin. I do not think there is any exceptions to what it can skin.

How long has it been unable to skin Chrome.

Since 2023. Google made the decision and it's been discussed in forums numerous times.

I do not use Windhawk, however, a WB skin involves more than frames. Are you using WB to skin the browsers or another application?

Looked up the extension and it seems only to return old windows frames, and not consistently for all users. It appears to have problems in dark mode and if unfocused. Anyhow, not sure I'd recommend it.

I am using The Alternate Method For Skinning Doc as my daily Machine(The Competitor We Shall Not Name). It No Longer Needs to Patch System Files, and has not for a while now.

Agreed, some users had issues last year, all software has teething trouble, but the Mod has been updated a few times since then. I Have used Dark Mode with it for a while now, No Unfocused issues(Tested on Various Win 11 Editions, including Win 11 Enterprise 24H2.I am Going To Test It On Win 11 25H2 as soon as it becomes A Final Release In The Autumn) The consistency issues reported tend to be mostly from users who do not follow the install instructions, If It Is Not Done 100% as per the instructions it does not work Correctly.

Windhawk Mods Are A Gift To Peeps who , like us, want to Customize There PC, Not Just A Frames thing . Imagine  being able to take all the things you loved about Previous Editions Of Windows, and then using them on the latest Windows Editions, Windhawk Makes That A Reality.

I Think A Windhawk Topic of its own should be created as our users could discuss the Mods they use, How They Work, and what they do. I Would do it myself but 1: I do Not Have The Time and 2: I am not what you would call an Expert user as i have only tested about 20 of the Mods specific to my needs and wants of my OS and its use.

Thanks for your well wishes, naroon1. I do appreciate them.

The OP asked about WB and Chrome/Edge. He didn't ask about non-SD software, and this is after all, an SD site.

I believe Firefox/Pale Moon answered his original question.

I'm very much like your lady - contents, labeling, etc.

Thanks for your wishes, naroon1.
