background colour of desktop changes to black when Mouse is rolled over icons

Hi,

In Fences 5 installed on my Windows 11 PC , I am finding that my desktop screen which has a blue background starts changing to a black screen when I roll my mouse over the screen until it totally turns to a black background. If i swipe across to another screen the background changes back to blue. I have created a screen clip to show it happening bt cannot find a way to send it to the Forum.

Does anyone know why it is happening please?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you using Windows Solid color as a background? If yes, try using normal wallpaper does the issue go away? If so, try this instead using Windows solid color wallpaper, just create a solid color wallpaper and use that wallpaper instead. Try this one: https://mdigi.tools/solid-color-image-generator/

Hi, I have tried using all different colour types on the background but the black "squares" appear whilst the desktop is idle. Running my mouse over the black squares makes them dissappear as does swipping to another pack which is black at first then going to the colour I have fixed.

I have a video screen shoot to show it if that helps

Sorry, I can't really help to suggest what you can try to resolve your issue, since I don't really understand the issue itself.

Perhaps, you can refer to these thread and see if the issue is similar as yours.

Hi just to clarify — so do you need to change the wallpaper to fix the issue, or does just hitting F5 on desktop to refresh etc resolve? I ask as we’ve seen issues such as with Parallels where it will change the wallpaper to black, but in a way that doesn’t change right away.

Likewise it sounds like the mouse both causes and relieves the issue but unclear. Thank you
