Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe it is best if you post some screenshots and point to the area you're having issue. Also, need to details on your system.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Windowblinds full version numbers.

Thank you.

Sequence: default start - select modern - select ice - return to default (window is in damaged state) - restart computer to restore default completely.

Also, you can see that the graph colour for GFX sections in Task manager are gone when default is not selected.

First, have to make sure Windowblinds is properly install. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I followed the instructions on the link and your addition of a restart post-install. the same results, as pictured in the previous post, occure when selecting default and alternative themes.

Well, I had to install windows sandbox (WS).

Here is what happens.

  • Paste installer into (WS).
  • Run installer inside WS
  • Installer completes
  • A theme from the default set is applied
  • WS crashes

The above happens regardless of a post-install restart before applying a theme.

Not sure why it not working, might due to that you need to restart the system after install to make sure WB work properly. And, Sandbox can not be reboot?

Next, please try cleanboot as mentioned here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1346830395/WindowBlinds+Clean+Boot. Do note that Cleanboot need to be done with care. Try it and report back.

Ok.. here is the thing.

I got an email for 50% of windowblinds. So, i installed the trial.

My experience has gone from excited and curious to unpaid tech-support agent.

I just don't have time to troubleshoot software.

sorry your software has problems.

I'm done.

Take care.

Pity, why pity? that sounds a bit rude.  As if to suggest i have somehow failed. :-o

While i can appreciate your effort, I don't have the time to dedicate for trouble shooting software that is not essential to my work.

Just know that you are appreciated for your effort. :-)

I just dont have time for buggy software ;-)

I am sorry if it sound rude, that is totally not my intention. I said pity because I fail to help you. Wish you have more time to see what is the actual cause of the issue. Do know that there no other issue similar to yours recently reported or ever that I can recalled. That is why, it is a pity not to know why it happen specifically in your system.

Oh well, now you have sparked my curiosity.

Honestly, I envisioned countless trials of installations and restarts.

However, if  this case is rare and my issue isn't due to buggy software, I'll give it a go.

Alright, next up is the clean boot.

Alright, I followed the instructions, and it still makes the graph colour vanish as before.

Maybe I found a new bug. I have the latest version of windows and Nvidia Driver.

Shurg...

what's next?

It just happen to your GPU section in task manager, yes. Perhaps it has something to do with Nvidia card or drivers. I can't test this since I don't use Nvidia GPU. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to confirm something, are you also on Nvidia GPU?

Hello,

As you can see in the screenshot, yes I have a Nvidia GPU (5080) and it seems that I also have AMD integrated graphics. However, both graphs have the same issue. But my monitors are plugged in the Nvidia GPU.
