Resolution Issue with Update v3.0

Hi, since the automatic update through Steam happened, I cannot play the game anymore in the native resolution of my monitor, which is 3840 x 2160. It seems to fall back on a ridiculous low resolution(*), which stops making this game playable - as soon as one pulls out the icons for ships etc stay quite big and make the whole screen seem to flicker.

I have tried adding the resolution to the .ini file, but nothing helped.

Is there a way to uninstall this update?

Thanks,

Ali F.

(*) while the settings dialog's option is either still on Full Screen or not

On Steam you can go to options, betas and go to a previous version.

When you say low resolution do you mean the UI is small or something else?

Thanks, I'm going to try the way via Betas.

Well, not the UI but the display of the universe. From that moment on that it switches from the detailed display to the icons for ships, planets, resources etc those icons are too big and everything too pixelated. And when scaling out further everything starts to flicker.

Hey, we are investigating this issue.
Could you share a few screenshots, so that we can confirm if it's the same bug, or something different is meant.

I'm trying to reproduce this.  What map settings are you using? I.e. sectors, map size?  I'm running 4K as well and am not seeing this.

This is from the Discord sitrep and there is another a couple of post later. https://discord.com/channels/299942486095167489/1372628571746734233/1383081651948621976

Appears it can get quite crowded.

I am Ghost 88 there on Discord

Overall view.

Here is the overall view to show the issue. Already during loading I see that the second splash screen and later on the cursor are not as sharp and high-resolution like as before. Whatever settings I choose from the options menu regarding resolution nothing seems to change. I will collect the data about map sizes etc  and post them soon.

Thanks,

Albrecht

I fail to find that additional data regarding sectors, map size etc - under what menu can I find that?

Btw, switching back to the last 2.9xxx beta hasn't changes anything.

Best,

Albrecht

And this screen shot is at exactly that distance when it switches from detailed ships, etc to the icons. Until recently that was still sharp and crips, while now it seems not so tempting anymore to me.

"Most detailed" icon view.

The data on sectors map size ect is in the start menu the page with all the sliders

If you are looking for the Strategic view icon it is one of the three little ones just to the left of the orange "!" at the bottom right of your screen shot
