Right click failure

I am unable to use Right click on my desktop and with the Start menu. When I use the right click I get a moving circle. The Right click works in Firefox, edge Apps. Also if I disable the start menu the right click now worls. I can reset the Right click circle by restarting explorer in the task manager, but the same failure occurs if I use the Right click again. The Left click works. I am using windows 11 with current updates, a Logiteck MX Master 3 mouse with uptodate drivers, firmware, and software. Please help.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still there need more information.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Do you have any other application that might cause conflict with Start11, such as another Start panel/Taskbar managers or Windows explorer replacement or changes etc.

Thank you,
Basj,

Hi Basj

I have completed the steps above, the problem persist.

Window version: 23H2 (OS Build 22631.5335

Start11 version 2.51

I am also communicating with Logitech, and so far there is no indication that mouse is the issue.

Please advise,

Jim

If you have Windows Pro, please try Installing Start11 in Sandbox and see if the issue still appear while in it. Refer here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1416855562/Testing+Start+in+Sandbox. Try it and report back.

Here is the results of the above procedure:

You need to create a New admin account for the test to work.

I made a new admin account, but when I try to run the start bat, the computer ask for a password and won't let me type it in; I went to Microsoft win help site, and they gave me 3 methos but each one requires a password. So I am stuck again.

You can start \ ensure Start11 has started manually by searching for 'Services' and then going to it in the list

The start11 is running; but I am unable to use the right click button to see the menu on desktop app icons and within the start 11 app icon menu as well.

If you install the Start11 beta from your account page:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Reboot... Does it work then?

I installed the beta version. The right click button problem persist. The problem only occurs with app or program icons on the desktop and start11 menu. The right click menu works on files on the desktop. I have updated windows with the repair method that keeps apps and files. It did not fix the issue.

And if you uninstall Start11, reboot, does the problem reproduce or no?

I have not uninstall Start11. However I have discovered that my account is corrupted. I made a new admin account and the right button now works.
