Updated applications get removed from start11 menu

applications pinned in the start menu are removed if they are updated

When updating an application on windows 11 computer the application gets removed from the Start11 start menu both as a pinned item and under "All Apps". The "work around" of restarting explorer will refresh the list of applications however the 'work around is no good if the end user does not have admin rights on the machine in question, other wise it requires intervention from someone who does. 

 

Start11: version 2.52.3 business edition

Windows 11 Pro: version 24H2

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, not sure what you mean by work around is no good? Can't you do restart explorer.exe without admin right? Doesn't this batch code work?

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
start explorer.exe
exit
