My Licenses.. I'm so confused

No.. really confused

I currently have a number of Stardock products (and yes, thank you for doing what Microsoft won't), all listed in my downloads. My issues aren't with the older versions, or with the fences or soundpackager.. it's with Start.. I have according to my list, 6 start11 product keys.

My issue is that I just upgraded one of my PC's to a Core Ultra and had to completely rebuild. I released the license and re-installed. It was fine for a few days, then came back as unlicensed!!!

I tried every single &%^%& license I have, and it told me to put it where the sun don't shine.. so I checked and it says I am eligible for an 'upgrade' for $3.99..

Well, my time is worth more than $3.99 so I just bought it and now it appears to be working. Onward...

I went back and checked my licenses AGAIN, and it tells me that the licenses that it would NOT let me use have NO PC's associated with them??? For grins and giggles I took out one of my laptops and tried to install it..

You got it..no joy..

So, please, for future reference, can someone tell me how to tell the good from the bad??

Still confused.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do know that within these few days ago and, I believe still, off and on, there was issue with activation server. Please use this guide to review and manage your activations: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1260191763/How+to+review+and+manage+your+current+activations. Report back if you still have questions.

Thank you,

Yeah, the guide is like a no brainer.. already been through all that, but the problems with the server would explain it, just wish there had been some kind of notification. Will try a few other installs (I only have two of the six active, the rest were giving me problems).

Will post results.

Ok, update.. I have four of the six installed, the two that don't install say I have 0 of 0 installed, which kinda doesn't make sense and does at the same time. I only looked at the key, I didn't notice if the 0 0f 0 was there before.

I am assuming that when I bought another version (not sure how this differs from an upgrade other than cost) an older version was disabled, making the key useless.

So why bother having it on the list? And why not tag it 'deactivated due to upgrade' or even a 'Neener, Neener, you can't use this)

Since I bought them as I needed them I didn't go with the 5 pack.. bummer. Hindsite is 20/20

Thanks for your response.
