Taskbar behaving inappropriately

Hello.

I'm having a problem with my taskbar (set to auto-hide). When I get to the desktop, I have to double-click it to make it appear. I used the "dspurge" file to uninstall the software, restarted, and the taskbar appears normally when the mouse hovers over it.

I reinstalled Deskscape, restarted, and the bar got stuck again, so I had to double-click it to make it appear.

I should clarify: once on the desktop, I double-click the bar, and then, for the entire session, the behavior remains normal. However, if I reboot, I have to do it again.

Otherwise, the software does the job.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Your using Windows taskbar auto hide or Start11 auto hide?

Thank you.

Hello.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm using Windows 11's Deskscape masking feature. It's the only one with a desktop object on my machine.

Thanks.

Hello.

Translation error: I'm using the Windows taskbar hide function.

Does the issue appear if you using Deskscape static wallpaper?

Hello.

I never use static wallpaper.

I didn't buy Deskscape for that, but to display animated wallpapers.

I just discovered, during an update, that when I restart and access the desktop, the taskbar behaves normally: I don't need to double-click it for it to appear and hide.

Hello.

Here are two short videos where you can see this behavior.

The first shows my desktop when Deskscape isn't installed.

The second shows the taskbar, frozen, after installing Deskscape. I just did it.

Here's the link to see these videos: 2025-07-20_20h37_05.gif

The second link...2025-07-20_20h46_01.gif

Thanks.

I can be reproduce this one, but, for me it resolved if shift the Quality setting from Best Quality to Best performance. Refer to my short video below. Try it and see if that also help on your system.

Hello.

I'll try. Not right away, I'm not on the right PC: I just got up, and here it is 10:30 in the morning and I'm drinking my coffee!

However, this PC has a good graphics card (it's a Geekom IT15, Intel Ultra 5 225H, 32 GB DDR5), so I'm curious to see if it holds up well with Deskscape on it. After all, it ran Forza 5...

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks.
