Sent to the purchase screen when trying to apply a theme

WindowsBlinds pretends I don't have a license when I literally just upgraded it again

Hello,

I have been a WindowsBlinds user for a while now, and I've gotten tired of my current theme so I decided to change today. However, when I try to apply a new theme, even the default one, the "Apply style to desktop" button directly sends me to the stardock page where I can either purchase a license, upgrade or buy the Object Desktop suite. Although I might not have needed to, I decided to upgrade (again) just in case it was necessary but somewhat easy to miss. Despite a brand new license, I still can't apply a new theme to my WB.

Did I spend money on an upgrade for nothing? What's wrong with my WindowsBlinds?

Go to the about screen in WB. Put in your key for the product. After that it will be registered and you'll be able to apply themes.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Also, do know when you upgrade from an older version for example Windowblinds 10 to Windowblinds 11 you will get a new key for it. You will need to use the new key. And check if all your purchases appear in your account page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.

Thank you,

I've done exactly as instructed with my new key, multiple times even, also trying to validate by linking my account. It does say the license is validated, but I still have the same problem. I'm at a loss for words. And to precise, it is indeed WB11, which i've been using since february.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Also, if it still happen after you run the steps above, please refer to this guide: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1260552209/Error:+212+or+Product+Keeps+Prompting+to+Activate. If these steps still fail please check if you have an application clean that run on the background which to cleanup. Possible that this application delete off your Activation license file.

And, few more details needed.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Windowblinds full version installed.
  3. Are you using ESET antivirus?
  4. Are you on ARM base CPU system?
