Object Dock - Auto Hide Not possible on multi monitors?!

Hi

How is it possible that in 2025 Object Dock - Auto Hide option is Not possible on multi monitors?!

Every other dock alternative has this possible, why not Stardocks ObjectdocK? Is Startdock not capable of doing while other Dev are able?

Absolutely nuts!

Hello again,

I just get information from Dev and it says, it is not possible for Zoom Docks to have autohide on Multimonitor setup. It should work on Tabbed docks.

Thank you,

Hi. I was asking whether it was possible, I was stating it as this is what I discovered. That fact that Stardock Object dock is not capable of of doing (which I'm sure it did in past versions) yet it's competitors FREE docks such as Nexus dock, RocketDock, etc can auto hide with multiple monitors, says that stardock devs are not capable and of lesser skill which is a ridiculous!

I have been using Stardock products since 2005 and I don't think that the devs here have lessor skills. I think that you may not know what you are talking about when you look at all that Stardock offers.

Autohide worked on Object Dock 1 and then on 2, but it's impossible on version 3.

I think the developers don't want to go through the trouble of finding and adding this option to version 3. :|

For my part, I was able to do it by manually editing the files:

1) Go to Settings --> Troubleshooting Options --> Open my ObjectDock Setting.

2) Edit the CurrentTheme.ini and CurrentTheme_Backup.ini files.

3) Look for the lines with Autohide=XX and set the values to 1.
Do this for all the Docks you have, then back up the files.

That's it, nothing more to do... so the developers aren't able to do this, which is sad.  >:(

It's been working and has been working without any issues for months, on several PCs (Windows 10 and 11).

What has that got to do with the issue, mr defender? There a thing called "quantity" and then there's a thing called "Quality"! Unfortunately the devs down seem to relate to the latter! Object Dock has actually regressed, nothing new in almost a decade, but they did manage to Remove auto-hide for 2 monitors

It's absolutely ridiculous isn't it, I'm just so disappointed in stardock, even my Fences app is useless, keeps deleting all my links, can't rely on it.

I'm not very techie, but thanks, I'll see if I can find that file and edit it myself ... I can call myself a developer then I guess ... at least for this site

Actually, I don't think Fences is doing it. I suggested to use the restore the layout, does it work? If yes or no you should carry on in your thread there so we can help you further. ref: https://forums.stardock.com/536080/
