Animated wallpaper quality low

Hello, 

So I'm new to deskscapes and have downloaded a few animated wallpapers but they are all low quality.
In the program and preview window they look great and sharp just like UHD but when when I apply them they seem to degrade a lot and are somewhat blurred as if the image is being stretched like when you try to fill the screen with an image that is too small.
The wallpapers show as being UHD with a resolution of 3840x216 but it looks like SD to me.

My screen resolution is 2560x1440 so the image being displayed sound be larger then my res and there for look clear but it's not.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. and sorry about the "Test" thing. Please check this setting. Did you set to Best Quality or Best Performance? Also, check if the Wallpapers downloaded are actually high Resolution image.

Hello, 

Thank you for the response, I have checked that setting and it is on best quality.

They state they are 4K with high res, but I've taken a screenshot of it and its poor.

I downloaded this Dream and I don't see the low quality your are reporting. I then applied the Whispy Blue effect, and I still don't see the low quality.

I'm using a 40" 4K 3840x2160 monitor.

How do you have the Background positioning set?

I tested the same dream and I saw some imperfection on my system, wonder it is the same as yours. What I saw is the same thing appear on Mike (Azdude) Preview video. Are you seeing the same things? There are jagged edge or pixelated. Perhaps, this is how it suppose to be or my setting is off too. Hopefully Mike can come in and confirm it.

I believe, the video itself is at 4K just that when the compression is done to make the dream file smaller in size, perhaps some details are lost.

Hello Pelaird, I have it set on auto but I have tried changing to the other settings and makes no difference.

Hello Basj, Yes it's not clear there is pixilation and jagged edges, does not look 4k at all. Same the youtube video looks perfect but when applied to my system its not and clear/sharp as the video and this seems to be the same with any animated wallpaper I try.

This is quite annoying :annoyed:

Perhaps you could private message the animated wallpaper designer himself. And, perhaps, you can make your own 4K animated wallpaper.
