Crash on startup

I just reinstalled Object Desktop after having removed it several months ago and now it crashes on startup.  Event codes 1026 and 1000....

The first attempted launch after reboot shows the "Checking for Updates" splash for several seconds. Subsequent attempts do not show that splash.

I am on Win 11 24H2

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, assuming your Object Desktop subscription still active. Please try, uninstall Object Desktop, reboot immediately (important), re-download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products . Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Just to confirm, your Object Desktop subscription still active, yes? If so, just as a test, if you go here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products and try download something under your Object Desktop "Product Downloads" list, does the product get download successfully?

Thank you,

Yes, it does.  We can mark this one as resolved.  I reset my PC and it started working.  Drastic solution but I felt like it had to be some kind of misconfiguration on my end.

[not about misconfiguration on your end] but that it's resolved...;)

Sometimes the best solution for a weird problem is to reboot. It allows Windows' wizards to fix accumulated problems.
