Issues with Fences, Groupy, and Start11 After Installation

 

Hi everyone,

 

I’ve been experiencing some intermittent issues since I installed Fences, Groupy, and Start11 from Stardock. I'm not sure which one is causing the issue, but it seems to happen regularly.

 

For Fences:
All of my desktop icons randomly rearrange for a few seconds, and the Fence windows disappear and reappear. This happens on a consistent basis throughout the day.

 

For Groupy and Start11:
The taskbar glitches—it freezes, disappears, and then reappears. This causes problems with applications, especially games and Steam, making them unresponsive or buggy.

 

The issues started right after I began using Stardock’s software, and while the system generally recovers after a short period, it happens several times a day. It’s frustrating, especially since I sometimes lose information when a window freezes completely.

 

Has anyone else experienced something similar, or does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Sometimes there are conflicting software with other applications that causing issue. What we need to know which of these 3 software is causing the issue with what other 3rd party software installed. What we would suggest is to work out each software one at a time. To try to figure out 3 software in a go will be a bit hard.

Also we need details on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Windows own "Winver.exe" to get these numbers.
  2. Full version numbers on Fences, Groupy and Start11.
  3. Monitors layout with details such as resolutions, scale factors, docking stations etc.

I'm on windows 11. I don't have access to all the infos you asked. Strangely, my subscription is not even noted in my account.

Also it's not even one year yet, and I don't have access to the new app included in the yearly subscription.

I had to buy about 15euros my previous yearly renewal but I can't find cheap renewal anymore and since I have some issues with the applications, as a reviewer, I might try and find something else as my computer is getting slower now.

Hope you can help me but if we can't find solution for Frences not appearing, I'll have to abandon it maybe.

Still need all the information requested above. 

  1. To get to Windows version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe, which should available in your system. It come installed in all Windows system. Just type Winver.exe in your Windows search box.
  2. To get to Fences, Groupy and Start11 full version number please go to Fences, Groupy and Start11 configuration windows and click on "About" with that selected you should be able to see its version number.
  3. You should know how your monitor or monitors information.
