Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know what changed recently that may or may not causing the issue. New Windows update? New graphics driver update? New software installed. New codec updates? New software installed? Anything that come to mind.

Thank you,

a few weeks ago all was working fine but when I tried to change the wallpaper

none worked except for the one that was running currently

I do regular updates on windows  there was an update 3 days ago

and since then I totally lost the ability to run an animated wall paper

Just as a test try download a new dreams from Wincustomize. Does the new one work? https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/dream

Also, check if you have not pause the dreams. Right click on Deskscape icon on your taskbar tray. Click "Resume DeskScapes"

Thank you,

I think it has something to do with the latest Nvidia Driver. I installed 576.02 this morning, and I'm seeing this same problem. Dreams will run for a little while and then stop.

Restarting Explorer seems to fix it. I'll work on this today and try to figure it out.

After spending some time with this, most Dreams run fine. I have one which was downloaded yesterday

https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/dream/15288/

which hangs once applied. If I restart Explorer, it seem to run fine.

Which Dreams are you having trouble with? Please let me know so I can test them.

Try gorgeous lake sunset by cyberslober

Seems to work fine here. Does it run for a few seconds and then hang, or it just won't run. Have you tried restarting Explorer?

Also, what version of Windows (use winver.exe) and DeskScapes are you running? What version of the Nvidia driver are you running?

Hello the current Windows 11 is 24H2 OS Build 2600.4061. Please try to update to this version. Ref: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/windows-11-version-24h2-update-history-0929c747-1815-4543-8461-0160d16f15e5

Also, here few steps you should check.

  1. Update to latest video codec by download and install K-lite codec pack from here https://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
  2. Check your deskscape video support setting. Refer screenshot below. Try those others options.

Try all these and report back.

hi and thanks for these suggestions  before i try this i noticed something odd  - after a bit of time the desktop view disappears and a animated screensaver appears - with full motion -  but when i install any  animated screensaver that does not work  -at all - - so i have a static animated screensaver and if i wait for the laptop to sleep or hibernate the pre existing  animated screensaver works fine  . let me know if you can figure out what is happening ?

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
