Everything takes a long time to load

Everything takes a long time to load

Windows 11 24H2

Fences 5.88

On the previous version (I think it was 5.86), when I used the hotkey for "Show Fences (toggle)", the shortcut I double clicked would open inmediately; after the latest update, when I double click a shortcut, this isn't the behavior any more, I have to wait for a few seconds for it to open or click "outside" of the fences for it to start loading.

I searched the settings for a new one in case this was optional but I didn't find one. Is this a known bug? If not, could you help me roll back to the previous version? I don't want to use "press and hold", "toggle" works just fine for me but with the previous behavior.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, got a Windows BSOD - unrelated to Fences

Getting a BSOD can always be the underlying issue of everything going wrong elsewhere.

I'd be more inclined to chase up the 'why' of the BSOD before "reverting to shareware".

Systems can be extremely stable these days.  My machine still runs its original install of Windows 7 Ult 64 that went live in January, 2015.  Never been reinstalled.  Last year it had an uptime of around 260 days.  Currently at the moment....36.23 days.  Only 'error' is now and then the desktop gadgets freeze... simple kill and reload.

I cannot recall the last time I saw a BSOD, if ever on this machine...;)

The BSOD was a glitch - never repeated.  Indeed, Windows 7 is quite stable.  The record on one of mine is 312 days.  Could have gone longer except a power outage depleted the UPS.

I got around the 'not responding' issue I posed earlier by just letting it sit for a while.  When I came back later the installer was ready.

What's strange is that the elusive J181 build that presumably fixed the original load time issue is no where to be found.

Even more strange is that releases AFTER that still have the issue.
