Desktop screen freezing after grouping open files (Doc, excel, pdf, etc) in Groupy

The desktop screen freezes (on all multiple desktops on my Windows 11, Samsung laptop) for a few minutes (about 5 to 10 minutes) after grouping open files (Doc, excel, pdf, etc.) in Groupy, rendering the laptop unusable for such time.

FYI, This happens only when Groupy is used, else there is no screen-freeing issue.

Pls advise.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please try, uninstall Groupyv2, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still appear need more information.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Groupy full version number.
  3. Please post a video and test by grouping one application at a time and try to see if it specific application base issue.

Hi,

Uninstalled Groupyv2, rebooted immediately and downloaded latest version available, but issue still the same.

Tried opening and grouping doc, xls, pdf, vlc files ..... in different order.... Have noticed that the desktops freezes, generally when the 3rd or 4th file is grouped.

Winver is 24H2 (OS Build26100.3194)

Groupy ver 2.2

I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Please refer to my short video below.

Is the issue link to specific files. Please try Grouping 4 Windows explorers or Notepad and see if the issue appear with these application.
