Folder path reset on wake from sleep

Your assistance please . . .

Groupy 2.2 installed on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Build 19045.5487

Google Drive for Desktop in use

Grouping rules > auto group identical windows > enabled

Block/allow > file explorer

Only allow specified apps > enabled

Unlike another (Windows 10 Home) machine I have with the same Groupy settings, my Win Pro machine doesn't retain the folder path for Google Drive folder tabs after waking from sleep.

Instead, all Groupy tabs open to "Quick Access" or "This PC", whichever is set in File Explorer options (for "Open File Explorer to").

This is not the desired behaviour. I want File Explorer to retain the last current folder path in use before the sleep state was invoked (as it does on my other machine).

Again, this doesn't affect tabs for local drives, only Google Drive.

TIA

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried this setting?

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply . . . and sorry, I should have added that that setting is already enabled.

Here is what I get on my Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5487) with Groupy 2.2. This is your expected behavior yes?

But, these are my setting on Grouping rules.

Thank you,

Yes, those are my settings and that is the behaviour I get until I put the machine to sleep.

On waking, every Google Drive connected tab reverts to the File Explorer default new tab setting ("Quick Access" or "This PC").

Block/allow > file explorer

You mentioned you have this setting in your first post.

Yes, those are my settings

Did you changed your setting in the Block/Allow option?

And, if you do the restart explorer.exe after you wake your system does the issue still the same?

Here is how to easily restart explorer.exe: https://www.howtogeek.com/198815/use-this-secret-trick-to-close-and-restart-explorerexe-in-windows/

Yes, the issue remains.

It's not clear to me how that could possibly help since restarting explorer.exe means it opens to the default new tab setting ("Quick Access" or "This PC") when reopened . . . which is the same problem I'm trying to avoid when waking from sleep.

Does the same thing happen to folders open to the same destination if not grouped?

Right now this doesn't sound like a Groupy issue as it doesn't alter what an existing explorer windows is open showing.

Yes, I think you're right . . . I removed the grouping rule for Explorer and the problem persists for multiple (non-grouped) Explorer windows on waking from sleep.

I'll have to look elsewhere. Next on the list is the network adapter.

Thanks for your help.
